- Report We describe the risks and how serious they are, in English.
- Remedy We propose and implement specific corrections.
A legal audit finds a company’s weak points before they become a costly problem. It is useful before an investor comes in, before a sale or a major contract, or simply after several years of business without a document review.
Due diligence before acquiring a business is particularly important. Under Polish law, the buyer of a business is, as a rule, jointly liable with the seller for obligations connected with running the business, unless at the time of acquisition the buyer did not know of them despite exercising due care. This liability is limited to the value of the business acquired, but it can still be significant. Thorough due diligence protects you from taking over someone else’s debts.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a legal audit take?
It depends on the size of the company and the scope. A review of a few key contracts usually takes several days; full due diligence before a transaction takes several weeks.
What do we receive after the audit?
A report in English listing the risks, their severity and our recommendations. On request, we prepare corrected documents straight away.
Can the audit be limited to one area?
Yes. Clients most often commission a review of commercial contracts, employment arrangements or GDPR compliance.
